Airtel plans that now offer Disney+ Hotstar
Bharti Airtel began providing users with a free one-year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar with the Rs. 401 prepaid plan launched a couple of months ago. Now, the telecom operator it's expanding its partnership with DIsney+ Hostar as it will now offer free Disney+ Hotstar with more prepaid plans in India. Read on to know more about this.
Airtel will now include a year's free Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription with four new plans, namely, the Rs. 448 plan, the Rs. 499 plan, the Rs. 599 plan, and the Rs. 2,698 prepaid pack. The update is now live on both the Airtel website and the Airtel Thanks app.
All the five Airtel prepaid plans that offer free Disney+ Hotstar includes its VIP subscription, which otherwise costs Rs. 399 per year. The subscription includes access to seven multiplex blockbusters, Disney+ shows/movies/kids' content (dubbed), live sports, exclusive Hotstar Specials, latest episodes of Indian TV shows.
To recall, the Rs. 448 prepaid plan offers unlimited voice calls, free 100 SMSs a day, and 3GB of high-speed data per day for 28 days. The Rs. 499 prepaid pack offers the same benefits as the Rs. 448 prepaid plan and is a first-time recharge (FTR) plan, which is provided to new Airtel users as a first recharge option only.
The Rs. 599 prepaid plan includes benefits such as 2GB of high-speed data per day, unlimited voice calling, free 100 SMSs a day for 56 days, and the Rs. 2,698 pack includes the same benefits as the Rs. 599 plan but for 365 days.
Additionally, Airtel has also been upgraded and now includes a total of 30GB data for 28 days. To recall, the Rs. 401 prepaid plan is a data pack that provides users with additional data on top of the existing prepaid plan.
Airtel, Reliance Jio prepaid plans that offer free one-year of Disney+ Hotstar subscription
Telecom companies have been bundling various OTT benefits with their pre-paid plans. Popular carriers Airtel and Reliance Jio both offer various plans that come with complimentary subscription of Disney+ Hotstar.
Airtel plans
Airtel offers the benefit of one year of subscription with ₹448, ₹499, ₹599, and the ₹2,698 prepaid recharge plans. Earlier, the company was providing the same benefit with just one ₹401 plan. The plan still offers one year of subscription of Disney+ Hotstar with 30GB of data along with 28 days of validity.
In order to activate Hotstar using the new plans offered by the company, the user can commit to the new plans by accessing Airtel’s website and the Airtel Thanks app. All the Airtel prepaid plans, including the ₹401 recharge plan, offer free Disney+ Hotstar includes its VIP subscription, which otherwise costs Rs. 399 per year.

Reliance Jio Plans
Reliance Jio also offers multiple options that provide Disney+ Hotstar subscription. Reliance Jio offers content from Disney+ Hotstar through two prepaid plans and add on plans.
Pre-paid Plans
The company offers a ₹401 plan which gets 28 days of validity with 90GB data. The plan provides 3GB of data per day and 6GB of overall data. The plan offers unlimited Jio to Jio calls and 1000 minutes of Jio to Non-Jio. The plan also offers 100 SMS per day along with one year of Disney+ Hotstar and Jio Apps subscription
The other prepaid plan that offers Disney+ Hotstar subscription for a year is priced at ₹2599. The plan comes with a validity of 365 days and 740GB of data with the plan. The plan offers 2GB per day of data along with 10GB of overall data.
Reliance Jio also offers the Disney+ Hotstar subscription with prepaid add-on plans which includes ₹1208 plan, ₹1206 plan, ₹1004 plan and ₹612 plan.
Telkomsel, Disney+ Hotstar unveil service pricing, pre-launch promo
Indonesian operator Telkomsel has signed a partnership agreement with the Disney+ Hotstar streaming service. The agreement will provide Indonesian viewers with access to content from The Walt Disney Company’s iconic brands and Indonesian entertainment through Telkomsel’s broadband network. Telkomsel has also announced details of its pre-launch special offers that are available for Disney+ Hotstar.
Starting from its launch on 5 September this year, viewers will be able to stream Disney+ Hotstar on connected devices and smartphones (Android and iOS), on the web and connected TV devices (Android TV and Fire TV Stick) with more devices expected to be added soon.
Disney+ Hotstar pre-launch special offer
Ahead of the launch, until 3 September, Telkomsel customers can access a pre-order special offer priced at IDR 15,000 for one month with 3GB + 30GB additional data, or IDR 30,000 for three months, including 3GB per month and an additional 30GB data for the first month. This special offer is available for Telkomsel’s prepaid and postpaid customers in MyTelkomsel app.
Disney+ Hotstar service pricing
Starting 5 September, consumers can also subscribe to the service directly from the Disney+ Hotstar website or the Disney+ Hotstar app on Android and iOS devices, to access global and Indonesian content in one place, for a subscription fee of IDR 39,000 per month or IDR 199,000 annually.
The offer includes a selection of over 500 films and specials, and 7,000 episodes of content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more, as well as exclusive original programming including feature-length films, series, documentaries, and short-form content made exclusively for the service. These range from global hits like Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame, Disney’s Aladdin, the epic first-ever live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian; and more.
As an exclusive offering for fans, seven highly anticipated Indonesian films from MD Pictures and Falcon will release directly on Disney+ Hotstar, including: Sabar Ini Ujian, Pelukis Hantu, Bidadari Mencari Sayap, Rentang Kisah, Malik & Elsa, Warkop DKI Reborn 4 and Benyamin Biang Kerok 2. In addition, the service will provide access to over 300 Indonesian movies, including some of the Top 10 Indonesian films of all time at the box office, such as Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Part 1, Laskar Pelangi, Habibie & Ainun, Pengabdi Setan, Ayat-Ayat Cinta.
Disney+ Hotstar offers subscribers commercial-free viewing, up to two concurrent streams, and the ability to download content on devices. The service can be accessed both by web and via devices such as smartphones (Android & iOS) and some connected TV devices (Android TV & Fire TV Stick).
